“Around the Block,” “Neighborhood” on Exhibit at Tribute to Fiber Arts
I have two pieces on exhibit at the annual Tribute to Fiber Arts at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD. The show is being hung today and will run until March 28. Hours are posted on the BlackRock Center website.
Neighborhood, at left, and Around the Block, below, are both in the exhibit,
which includes work by 15 artists in the Mid-Atlantic region. It’s a diverse group and I’m looking forward to seeing the work all hung in BlackRock’s lovely gallery. It’s got great natural light that comes in from windows high up on the walls, so the art shows beautifully. The opening reception is Saturday, March 8 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to be there then because my son is coming home just for that day and night, so I’ll have to go another time! The gallery is located at 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown, MD.
Meanwhile, I’m busy in the studio getting ready for the Atlanta Craft Show put on by the American Craft Council next weekend. Click here to get online tickets at a discount. I’ll have more details and maybe a sneak peak at some new work in my next post.
