Great First Day at Art in the High Desert!
It was a great first day yesterday at the Art in the High Desert show in Bend, Oregon! The weather was glorious, the visitors were friendly and interesting to talk to, and two of my pieces found new homes.
I’m in a corner booth–number 83 just as you cross the bridge from the Old Mill District, and I’d love to see you if you’re in the area and have a chance to stop by today or tomorrow from 10-6 both days.
I had chance to walk around briefly yesterday afternoon, and this is a really well done show with lots of artists doing new and interesting things–jewelers, painters, ceramicists, sculptors, and more. The show’s tag line is “Truly Original–Made for You” and I think that about sums it up! I’m thrilled to be one of 110 artists exhibiting here.
I’d like to share another one of my new pieces that’s being shown for the first time at Art in the High Desert–“August Garden” at left is a whimsical piece with stitching depicting a fantasy garden of flowers, leaves, clouds, and rocks. It’s 10″ x 20″ and mounted on painted black canvas–the perfect size to brighten up a small space and bring a smile to your face every time you look at it.
You can right-click on the image to see the stitching better.
