Autumn Stripe Table Runner in Modern Patchwork magazine - 2013 Cindy Grisdela

Autumn Stripe Table Runner in Modern Patchwork magazine – 2013 Cindy Grisdela

I’m pleased to announce that my Autumn Stripe table runner has been published in the Winter 2014 issue of Modern Patchwork magazine. This runner has all my favorite things–lots of colors, no need to match any seams, and a warm feeling for your home!

As always, it was a pleasure to work with the editors at Interweave Press. If you click here, you’ll be able to visit their website and see a complete description of the other projects in the magazine–from quilts to gifts to home decor and accessories.

This issue of Modern Patchwork will be available  at book stores and fabric stores beginning November 12, but I was given a couple of advance copies and I’m happy to give one away to the seventh person who comments on this blog post!

Good luck and I look forward to hearing from you. Be sure to leave your email address so I can contact you.

(If you’re interested in the original runner, it’s listed in my Etsy shop, which you can access from the Etsy mini on the right sidebar.)

UPCOMING SHOWS and EXHIBITS:

Coming up next is the Downtown Art Festival in Gainesville, Florida–my hometown–November 16-17. Hours are 10-5 both days, and I’ll be in Booth 127 on University Ave.

If you’re in the Connecticut area, I’m participating in two holiday shows there– Artistry 2013 at the Guilford Art Center in Guilford, CT and the Celebration of American Craft 2013 at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, CT. At Artistry, I’ve been invited to show small wall pieces, pillows and table runners, which runs through January 5, 2014. At the Celebration show, I’ll have small wall hangings and pillows, and it runs until December 24, 2013. Just my work will be at these two ongoing shows, not me too!

In December, I’ll be showing at 3 Days with the Artists at Hidden Springs Farm in Great Falls, VA. This is one of my favorite events of the year–an opportunity to participate in a festive home show with a variety of other artists and enjoy good food and music with our guests. If you’d like an invitation, email me at cpgrisdela at gmail.com.

The last show of the year will be the Great Falls Holiday Show in a NEW LOCATION at the Center for Education at the Barns of Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA on December 7-8 from 10-5 both days. Sponsored by Sun Design Remodeling Inc., it’s going to be a fun celebration of the season! More details on this to come.

Certainly enjoyed seeing your work and talking with you at the recent Downtown Art Festival in Gainesville. Your work is so beautiful and inspiring. Wish I was the 7th person but, alas it appears I’m not. However, I still wanted to comment. I look forward to seeing you in Gainesville again. Happy holidays
