Grape Harvest - Cindy Grisdela Art Quilts

Grape Harvest is in my Artful Improv book – Cindy Grisdela

Today is the second day of the blog tour for my new book–Artful Improv: Explore Color Recipes, Building Blocks & Free Motion Quilting, and my friend Maria Shell from Alaska is the featured blogger.

Maria and I met at a conference held by Studio Art Quilters Association (SAQA) a couple of years ago, and we’ve kept in touch. I’m a huge admirer of her work and so happy she agreed to participate in the Blog Tour. Visit Maria’s blog today at https://talesofastitcher.com/2016/10/11/artful-improv-by-cindy-grisdela-win-her-book/ and see what 10 things she likes about Artful Improv. If you add a comment, you’ll be entered to win a copy of the book!

Each weekday until Wednesday, October 19, you can visit a new blog and get a different perspective on Artful Improv. If you leave a comment on the blog, you will be entered to win a copy of the book, generously donated by C&T Publishing. US winners will receive a hard copy, and international winners will get the eBook.

The winners won’t be chosen until after the Tour is over on October 19, so even if you miss a day, you can go back and comment.

I’m very grateful to these talented artists who are participating in the Tour and helping me get the word out about my new book!

Not a huge fan of most improv- or the colour purple, but I love this! May try it first for the back of a quilt. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

Thank you Valerie–sometimes it’s a very good idea to try something new on the back of a quilt! I like to have something interesting on the back as well as the front too.

I’ve watched Maria’s work for a while now — while I wait for my copy of your book, I’ll head over to see Maria’s post. Congratulations on your publication!!

Yes, Maria’s work is quite wonderful and I’m so pleased she was interested in participating in the blog tour. It’s always interesting to see how we all approach fabric and thread differently!
