I’m excited to be participating in the Rio Grande Balloon Fiesta shows for the first time this weekend and next weekend!
The shows are located in an enormous tent adjacent to the Sandia Resort in Albuquerque, NM. Show days are Friday, October 6 – Sunday October 8 and Friday, October 13 – Sunday, October 15. Hours are 9 AM – 5 PM each day. The venue is very close to the launching area for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, so it should be great viewing for that too.
There are 200 juried artists in the show from all over the country under the tent, which is evidently bigger than a football field! Set up was today, and as always, it’s fascinating seeing a show gradually come to life. There are painters and sculptors, photographers and jewelers, glass artists and wearable fiber artists, and decorative fiber–that’s me!

I have lots of art quilts in a range of sizes and colors to choose from for these shows–large pieces that would be at home over a sofa, buffet table, or bed–and smaller pieces that can add a splash of color to any space in your home or office. Smaller pieces can also be grouped for more impact.
I’m in Booth G12 at the show both weekends. Admission is $10, and if you visit the show link above, you can print out a coupon for $1 off.
